6:41pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Sunday evening, July 10, 2022. Nothing special today. Went for a walk in the morning, watched a movie before lunch then took a nap. In the afternoon I drove around a little, bought a new hat at the mall, then picked up some groceries. After that I came home and had dinner. Going to read a little bit then turn in for the night.

Our Lady of the Holy Trinity
4:56pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Saturday evening, July 9, 2022. I was excited was to see the conservation easement on the monastery land in Huntsville, Utah has been finalized. I have written about Our Lady of the Holy Trinity Trappist Monastery a couple of times. It is such a sacred place for so many people in the area I grew up (Southwest Wyoming/Northern Utah). Though the monks are no longer there (except for those in the cemetery) the powerful energy they created remains to this day.
No more interviews
6:20pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Friday evening, July, 8, 2022. I was offered the Area Director position in Rancho Cucamonga today and I accepted. The start date will be the first part of August. In the end, I received a better title, more responsibility and a fairly significant pay increase. And I get to move closer to home. However, the process was more frustrating and humbling than I anticipated. Right now I feel excited about new possibilities but also exhausted. I think I will go to bed really tonight. Thank god I do not have to do any more job interviews.
A pretty good day

Received a text from the Rancho Cucamonga group about setting up a call tomorrow to discuss next steps. Also, had an interview this afternoon with a large provider regarding an executive director specialist role in California. Both seem like good opportunities, I would be happy to take either one. On the writing side of things, I started work on an article about destiny and fate. I am curious to see how it turns out. All in all, a pretty good day.
Car care
6:39pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Wednesday evening, July 6, 2022. Today was about car care; got the chips in my windshield fixed, the brakes replaced and the air filters changed out. Now the car is road ready for the next couple months. On the work front; no word on the two jobs in California . Although, a recruiter did call regarding a sales position in the Los Angeles, California market. I am not sure it is the job for me but I am willing to be open minded.
Long-term
6:08pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Tuesday evening, July 5, 2022. Dropped my daughter off at school this morning then did a second interview with the Rancho Cucamonga group before hitting the road. Both interviews with that group have gone extremely well. Hopefully we move forward together. I did not hear from the Riverside company nor the recruiter today. That is probably for the best. All weekend I dreaded the thought of taking that job. My next decision is important. I want to stay wherever I choose through my daughters high school years. The Riverside situation did not feel very long-term.
4th of July 2022
10:01pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Monday, July 4, 2022. Took it easy today, then visited friends for a bbq and fireworks at a neighbors house. There was a carnival nearby so us two dads took the daughters over for a bit. Mostly standing in line for tickets , cotton candy and a ride but, everyone had fun. I am exhausted and ready for bed.

3:43pm, pacific standard time, mall in Mission Viejo, California, USA, Sunday afternoon, July 3, 2022. My daughter and her friend are walking around the mall. I am sitting, resting and people watching. Went for a short walk this morning, did the dishes and laundry, then went to a movie. After we finish here we will grab dinner and head home. Not a bad day.
Pizza was the choice
6:37pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Saturday night, July 2, 2022. Went for a walk early this morning. So early, the dog and I fell back asleep upon returning. Later, I put together a storage chest to hold beach equipment then took my daughter to lunch. In the afternoon we drive around looking at apartments in the area (my daughter’s mom is deciding whether to renew the lease) and then ran errands. Pizza was the choice for dinner. Now I am going to eat a bowl of ice cream.
