7:05pm, pacific standard time, hotel in Dublin, California, Wednesday evening, August 31, 2022. Another day spent at the office. Met a lot of the field staff this morning and spent more time with the office staff this afternoon. All in all a pretty good day. I am going to enjoy working here for the next couple of months.

A practical note
6:06pm, pacific standard time, hotel in Dublin, California, USA, Tuesday evening, August 30, 2022. Spent the day meeting with employees and getting to processes. Overall things should go well. It isn’t perfect but not unmanageable. On a practical note, I was excited to learn the office building has a gym. Everything at the hotel is nice, except the fitness center is terrible.

5:13pm, pacific standard time, hotel in Dublin, California, USA, Monday evening, August 29, 2022. Took my daughter to school this morning then caught a plane to Oakland, California. After driving to Dublin I checked in to the hotel, mapped a route to the office and got groceries for dinner. Tonight I will do some ironing then go to bed early.

6:18pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Sunday evening, August 28, 2022. Woke up at 4am to finish packing and headed out to California. I got to Orange County before 11am, picked my daughter up from a sleepover, then grabbed tacos for lunch. Afterwards, we went back to the apartment to do laundry and prep for the upcoming week.
Exciting weekend
5:20pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Saturday evening, August 27, 2022. Heading to Scottsdale to have dinner with a friend. Tomorrow, I will drive to Orange County, California to stay with my daughter before traveling to Dublin, California for work. Exciting weekend, lots going on.

The last fourteen years have been spent prioritizing emotionally what once was, rather than looking forward to what can be. I don’t blame myself; the heart wants what it wants. But I am tired of lamenting loss and scheming to regain the past. I want to focus on the present and experience the gifts which lie before me now.
Socialize
3:28pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Thursday afternoon, August 25, 2022. I am going to drive to Glendale in a bit to attend a friend’s birthday party. I will get up there around 5:30pm. I don’t plan on staying long but, it will be nice to socialize, even for a short while.
Road warrior
6:35pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Wednesday night, August 24, 2022. Another day of orientation videos, a couple of errands and a run to the grocery store. I got my suitcase out to prepare for travel next week. Time to transition my thinking back to road warrior mode.

6:51pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Thursday evening, August 23, 2022. Spent most of the day watching orientation videos. However, I did manage to go grocery shopping and exercise this afternoon. At 3:30pm there was a conference call that ended the day. I will spend the rest of the day reading before turning in.
Now it is time
5:52pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Monday evening, August 22, 2022. Took my daughter to school this morning, then stopped in Irvine on my way to Arizona to complete some work. Once I arrived in Chandler I took a short nap and worked out. Now it is time for dinner, a little free time, and a good nights sleep.
