March 30-31,Sunday, Monday evening, 7:27pm, pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. The dog woke me up right at 3am Sunday morning. Since it was early we decided to “walk to our walk.” Meaning, we walked up to where I usually park. I miscalculated the distance. The walk up was a lot further than I anticipated. All told it ended up being a 7 mile, 2+hour walk. At the end was more tired than the dog. She still had a bounce in her step, while I was dragging. Afterwards, we lounged around a little in Dana Point then went up to Aliso until my daughter got home from dropping off her friend in Pasadena. Today, work went fine. Feels like we are turning a corner business wise. I have been having Palm Desert flashbacks today. It would be nice if this gig lasted the same amount of time and produced the same outcome as Palm Desert. I am not a long term kind of guy. I like to assess a problem, implement a solution then go on to the next project. We will see if that is how this plays out.

March 29,2025,4:26pm,pacific standard time,Strands Beach, Parking lot, Dana Point, California, USA. Had a good day with the dog, we went for a nice walk then got coffee and a pup cup. I did some grocery shopping then took the dog with me to pick up the girls at the Irvine spectrum. They wanted to walk on the beach. Now the dog and I are hanging out, waiting for them to finish. Afterwards we will take the girls to Aliso Viejo then head back home to Dana Point for the evening.

March 28,2025,6:38pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. My daughter has a friend from Pasadena coming to visit for the weekend. I offered to bring the dog home with me so they didn’t feel rushed to get back (they went to pick her up). We are settling in, watching a little basketball and enjoying a quiet evening.

March 27,2025,Thursday evening,5:12pm,pacific standard time,office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. Sitting in my office, waiting for traffic to die down. My daughter has music at 7:30pm. I will wait here rather than driving home or sitting on the freeway. The second round of the basketball tournament started tonight so that give me something to do.

March 26,2025,Wednesday night,7:50pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went do Orange Hill restaurant to celebrate an early Doctors Day with our hospice physicians. It was an enjoyable evening. Great views of Orange County though i unfortunately sat on the side facing away. We still got a great pic of the whole crew.

March 25,2025,Tuesday afternoon,4:05pm,pacific standard time,office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. My supervisor is in town. Our branch is on the radar because of poor referral volume and census decline. These things happen. I have confidence we will bounce back. But senior leadership is nervous so I have to accept extra scrutiny. . I don’t mind the attention but I feel tired. I need to get some rest. Tomorrow there are two off site meetings and a dinner with the physicians. I look forward to all of them. It will be good to get out and be social.

March 24, 2025, Monday evening, 6:56pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I have begun laying out the road map to get this branch turned around. This has reduced my anxiety level greatly. There are four key areas to focus on; conversion rate, live discharge percentage, volume from key accounts and lack of large accounts. Now that I know where the problem lies I can go about fixing it. I feel much better. We will see where we are in one year. Either it is turned around and I move up. Or it stays stagnant and I move one. Regardless I don’t need to be in this position last that time.

March 23,2025, Sunday afternoon, 3:38pm,pacific standard time, hardware store, Laguna Niguel, California,USA. Last night I went to bed around seven. I must have been really tired. I heard knocking around 7:45pm but was too groggy to answer the door. Turns out it was my daughter. She wanted to get her purse out of my car. I felt bad I didn’t answer but she said it was alright. They had enough money to buy dinner without a credit card. This morning I walked Blue Lantern then worked out at home. My car needs lots of repairs and I didn’t feel like driving to the gym. After that I did laundry and watched basketball. Around noon I picked my daughter up. We grabbed a bagel and some drinks. On the way back she asked if we could walk on the beach like yesterday. I am proud of her. She is focused on getting in shape to wear her dress for the school dance in May. When we got back to Aliso Viejo she said she was fine alone (her mom is out having tea with a friend.) she wanted to workout in the living room. So I came to the hardware store on my way home. I need to replace the outside mat in front of my laundry area on the patio. The current one is looking pretty shot.

March 22, 2025, Saturday afternoon, 4:28,pacific standard time,jiffy lube, Aliso Viejo,California, USA. Woke up early for walk and workout.. at 9am I headed up to Aliso to meet my daughter and her aunt for coffee and a walk on the beach. Afterwards her and I went to the Irvine spectrum and did some shopping. I was going to head home but needed to get my car serviced first. I recently passed 100,000 miles and need to treat it right so it will last longer once I pay it off in October. They have already talked to me about filters, spark plugs and brakes. I am going to hold off on the spark plugs and brakes. I can get them fixed with the air conditioner.

March 21,2025,Friday night,8:53pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. After work today I drove to Aliso Viejo. I took the dog for a walk then played Hues and Cues with my daughter, her mom and a friend/“aunt.” We had a good time. My daughter broke up with her boyfriend this week. She seems alright but is probably is feeling down. Tomorrow for coffee and tea we will try a new place that recently opened. Other than that no big plans. I need rest and to get my car serviced. Those are my two objectives this weekend.
