September 9,2025,Tuesday night,8:22pm,pacific standard time. Had our monthly staff meeting at work today. Introduced ‘the wheel of recognition.” If someone gets recognized by name through an online review, survey response or thank you card they get to spin the wheel for a prize. I think it went over well. After the meeting my boss called to tell me one of my staff members emailed him with a positive endorsement for the area Vice President role. Tomorrow is my first formal interview for the position so the timing was excellent. I am eager to get the position and use my talent in different ways but I want to make sure the Orange County branch continues its success as well. That is my first order of business, securing a strong succession plan.

September 8,2025,Monday night,6:41pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I am back in Dana point after spending most of the weekend in Aliso Viejo with the dog. I am a little bummed. I miss hanging out with her and taking our evening walks. We had a good routine going. My daughter went to see the new Conjuring movie in 4D at the Irvine Spectrum with her friend. Since she wouldn’t be home I drove from the office straight to Dana Point. I am the administrator on call this week so I had to work a little bit before I could relax. Now I am going to catch up on reading, doing puzzles and watch a little football.

September 7,2025,Sunday night,7:56pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. I am making a point to focus on the present and the future. So many past concepts of desired rewards involve things that are not helpful. These past two weekends have given me a blueprint going forward. Waking up feeling healthy, walking, exercise, watching a movie, running errands. I appreciate who I am. It has been a good weekend. There was some leftover ice cream in the freezer so the dog and I enjoyed a treat.

September 6,2025,Saturday night,7:06pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. The dog and I got up early and did the Blue Lantern walk. Afterwards we headed to Aliso Viejo for breakfast and coffee. At 8am I went to the El Toro Planet Fitness for a quick workout. At noon I went to Dana Point to pick up an overnight bag. We are going to stay in Aliso tonight. It has been a good day and a nice evening. At 6pm we went for the dog park walk. Now we are enjoying the air conditioning and watching football.

September 5,2025,Friday night,8:06pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. My daughter and her mom came to visit me at work today. I didn’t know how to introduce her mom so I went to the standby “wife.” The staff knows we don’t live together but it still felt slightly awkward. There aren’t many occasions where I introduce he. I guess I could have said my daughters mom or just her name but those choices seemed worse than the original. Oh well. My daughter is staying in the Los Angeles area with friends this weekend to work on a movie project. Her mom is staying out that way as well. I brought the dog with me to Dana Point. It is nice to have company but she is scratchy from fleas so it might be a long night.

September 4,2025,Thursday night,7:49,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. My daughter is in band rehearsals again. That means private lessons Wednesday night and group practice on Thursdays. Luckily her mom will pick her up tonight. 9:30pm is past my bed time. I would not get home until after 10pm if I had to take her to aliso and circle back. Now I am home and just turned on the season opening NFL game between the Cowboys and Eagles. 24-20 Eagles with 4 minutes left in the third quarter. Looks like they are in a weather delay.

September 3.2025,Wednesday evening,6:02pm,pacific standard time,parking lot,school of rock, San Juan Capistrano,California, USA. Received good news about our financial situation at work. That made my day. Plus the number of patients we serve has been picking up. That justifies hiring more staff to meet the demand. This morning I got up early and did the walk to the walk followed by a home back workout. Not a bad midweek day. Only a couple more days and it will be the weekend again.

September 2,2025,Tuesday night7:59pm,pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Spent most of the day chasing down leads. The top liaison had a family emergency so I took over key accounts. It was fun to be in the mix and running Point. Though it was a little labor intensive and time consuming it was good to do something different. I am a little grouchy. I gained three pounds over the weekend. Most likely from my lack of resistance training. It is a negligible amount but I still feel off . I need to cut back on the portions, especially when eating nuts. I have a tendency to overeat when from the bulk containers.

September 1,2025,Monday night,6:11pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Labor Day. Took the dog for a walk this morning then worked out at Planet Fitness. Afterwards I came home and did laundry. This evening we went out to eat with friends at Station Craft Brewery + Kitchen in Dana Point. Now I am home but not overly tired. There is a good show on YouTube. I will watch a little of that and treat myself to some Baskin Robbins Strawberry Cheesecake ice cream that’s been sitting in my freezer.
