Got up, went for a walk, did a home workout, drank coffee, at a protein bar. Fell back asleep for a half hour. Worked. Now waiting for my daughter to finish singing lessons so I can take her home. I am not complaining. I am happy where I am in life.

September 16,2025,Tuesday night,6:09pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. My daughter and her mom went to the aurora bakery in Los Angeles and brought back treats. I tried the mango madness and chocolate raspberry tart. Very decadent, very good. Other than that a typical work day. A couple admissions fell through at the last minute. Put me in a funk. Tomorrow is another day.

September 15,2025,Monday night,7:29pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I woke up late this morning. Perhaps it was staying up late Saturday that through me off. I went to bed early yet didn’t get up until 4:30am. To make up for lost time I forsook going to the gym and using the treadmill. Instead I did the walk to the walk off PcH and Santa Clara. Surprisingly it wasn’t too bad that late in the morning. Traffic was light and I didn’t waste time driving to the gym and waiting for it yo open. I got my walk in and was able to do resistance training without feeling rushed. I will have to remember than next time I need extra rest. Nice to have another option.

September 14,2025,Sunday night,7:48pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. The last three weekends have gone extremely well. I have created a new precedent, which eradicates anxiety. the key is no longer reflecting on memories tinged with alcohol use. By staying in the present I find peace. This morning I did the pacific island hill. It is basically a twenty minute walk straight up a steep incline followed by 20 minutes back down. I added an extra leg walking a cul-de-sac at the top. The whole thing lasted nearly an hour. I probably won’t do it very often but it is good to have the option if needed.

September 13,2025,Saturday evening,5:42pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Hanging out, waiting until 6:30pm then heading to Irvine to see Demon Slayer:infinity castle in 4d at 7pm. It has been a good day. Did the blue lantern walk, went to the gym, worked on my finances and compiled the first two installments of 10,000 bricks. I have a laptop again. That is helpful. Gives me a chance to do work I couldn’t finish on my phone. Like complete my application for a home loan. I am curious what I can afford. If our living situation changes it would be nice to own something for a change.

September 12,2025,Friday afternoon,2:54pm,pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. It is a painfully slow today. Counting the minutes until 5pm. Waiting to hear about the VP job and hitting the seven month mark makes me antsy. That and drinking coffee in the afternoon. I probably should cut down on that habit. My daughter is texting me about seeing the new Demon Slayer movie in 4d. Maybe we will do that this weekend.

September 11,2025,Thursday night,6:41pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Hanging out, watching football, waiting to take my daughter to music at 7:30pm. We have a lot of referrals at work but not a lot of admissions. That is making me feel punchy. I remind myself to be present in the moment. Now is the time to relax, breathe and appreciate the moment.

September 10,2025,Wednesday night,6:16pm,pacific standard time,Starbucks parking lot, San Juan Capistrano, California,USA. Had my area Vice President interview today. I thought it went well. My previous manager is helping make the hiring decision. Honestly, I have a hard time believing they have a better, more qualified candidate. Be that as it may, if I don’t get the position I will continue in my current role and do the best I can. We will see how it all plays out.

September 9,2025,Tuesday night,8:22pm,pacific standard time. Had our monthly staff meeting at work today. Introduced ‘the wheel of recognition.” If someone gets recognized by name through an online review, survey response or thank you card they get to spin the wheel for a prize. I think it went over well. After the meeting my boss called to tell me one of my staff members emailed him with a positive endorsement for the area Vice President role. Tomorrow is my first formal interview for the position so the timing was excellent. I am eager to get the position and use my talent in different ways but I want to make sure the Orange County branch continues its success as well. That is my first order of business, securing a strong succession plan.

September 8,2025,Monday night,6:41pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I am back in Dana point after spending most of the weekend in Aliso Viejo with the dog. I am a little bummed. I miss hanging out with her and taking our evening walks. We had a good routine going. My daughter went to see the new Conjuring movie in 4D at the Irvine Spectrum with her friend. Since she wouldn’t be home I drove from the office straight to Dana Point. I am the administrator on call this week so I had to work a little bit before I could relax. Now I am going to catch up on reading, doing puzzles and watch a little football.
