July 29, 2024, Monday evening, 7:40pm, pacific standard time, Home2Suites, room 506, Bakersfield, California,USA. Still feel a little off from two nights ago. Headache and stuffed up. I probably just need rest. Got a rental car this morning in mission viejo. The place was close to where my daughter took swim lessons so I swing by for a quick peek. Lots of memories. This morning I took my daughter to Dunkin and got on the road to Bakersfield at 12:45pm. Traffic was heavy today. I didn’t get to the hotel until almost 5pm.

July 28, 2024, Sunday afternoon, 4:49pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. It has been a good Sunday. I woke up with a bad headache and the usual issues from drinking too much beer. I didn’t stay up that late or drink that much. My body just can’t handle alcohol like it used too. Nonetheless it hasn’t been a bad day. I took the dog for a walk then came back and did laundry. My daughter didn’t go to the beach as expected so we got breakfast and drove around. Later, I went to the gym. This afternoon we picked up a package that had been delivered to Dana Point then got sandwich’s in San Clemente. We came back to Aliso Viejo and watched Ryan Trahan on YouTube. Now my daughter is in her room singing. The dog and I are lounging in bed , enjoying the last of the summer afternoon.

July 27, 2024, Saturday evening,6:36pm,Pacific Standard Time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Had to take the work car to the Chevy dealer in Irvine this morning/afternoon. My daughter came with me to drop it off. We ubered back to Dana Point to pick up my personal car. That was an adventure. The Uber driver could not follow the gps directions. He kept turning too early. Luckily we made it safely. This evening I drove to La Habra and spent a little time with a friend I saw last week. We were going to go to an 80’s bar together but my daughters mom is spending another night away so I had to decline the invite. Now I am sipping Coors Light, hanging with the dog and watching triple D.

July 26, 2024, Friday night, 8:05pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Took the dog for the walk this morning past the park and middle school. Then I went to the gym. Today was a work from home day. I was kind of lazy but it felt good. The check engine light came on in my work car yesterday. It stayed on all the way to San Diego and back but went off this morning. However I was driving around with my daughter this afternoon the electrical started acting crazy and the air conditioning controls stopped working. Luckily, we were in Dana Point so I drove home and got the Acura. Tomorrow, I will call to get it in the shop. I could tell something has been slightly off the past week or so. Now it is definitely needing attention. Kind of a bummer, it only has 40,000 miles on it. Too soon to have major problems.

July 25, 2024, Thursday afternoon, 4;54pm, pacific standard time, parking lot of Barnes &Noble, Aliso Viejo, California, USA. Took my daughter to tennis at 4:30pm and now killing time until she finishes at 5:30pm. Last night I watched a documentary on Gene Wilder then went to sleep around nine. This morning I drove to San Diego to meet with the Director then continued to Vista before heading home. I will probably watch a movie tonight before going to bed. It has been so hot today. Good thing my daughters mom has air conditioning.

July 24, 2024, Wednesday night, 8:14pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. I am spending the next three nights and most of Saturday in Aliso Viejo with my daughter. Her mom went to Lompoc to help with her mom’s move to an Assisted Living community tomorrow. I am thankful to be with my daughter and the doggo. I always enjoy when we get to be together. Today I had my last coaching session followed by our area operating review. Both meetings went well. It will be weird not having coaching on Wednesday mornings but I am thankful for the time and feel it was beneficial. Side note: since I traveled Sunday today felt like Thursday. I have been ready for the weekend all day and it is only Wednesday. That was a little disappointing.

July 23, 2024, Tuesday evening, 6:15pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Had a good morning in palm desert. Got up and worked out then drank coffee and read articles. I always like staying at the Fairfield Inn there. If they had a Kitchenette in the room and a pull up bar in the gym I would consider it the best hotel I stay at. It is still near the top without those things. After I finished meeting with staff in palm desert I drove to San Bernardino. I had the directors performance evaluation to complete and did a couple meetings. I left right after three and got home just before 5pm. This morning I realized our monthly operating review is tomorrow. Which is stressful because I wasn’t prepared but luckily I had time in Palm Desert to work on my slides. Now I am happy because I won’t have it hanging over my head the rest of the week.

July 22, 2024, Monday evening, 7:32pm, pacific standard time, Fairfield inn, palm desert, California, USA. Long day today. Started in Visalia meeting with the director there. Then drove to Bakersfield for meetings. Got out of there just after one and headed to palm desert. The drive ended up being four ana half hours long. I was exhausted when I got here but I managed to get a tuna sub from Jersey Mikes. Now I am going to crawl in bed and read a little. Today is the two year anniversary of acting this job and the 101st monday I have worked here.

July 21, 2024, Sunday evening, 6:54pm, pacific standard time, Hampton Inn, Visalia, California,USA. This morning I went for the Blue Lantern walk then worked out at Planet Fitness. Afterwards I went home, showered, packed then Drove to Aliso Viejo to pick up my daughter for a Dunkin run. I got on the road to Visalia at 10:30am. First stop was to buy groceries in Valencia. Then I stopped in Bakersfield to use the bathroom before making it to Visalia at 4pm. I laid down for a bit then got out and drove around. Visalia is a cute little city. I will have to stay again and explore. It feels so good to experience something completely new without having to drastically change my life circumstance.

July 20, 2024, Saturday night, 9:05pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went out last night and didn’t get back until after midnight. Got up at 4:30am and drove to Valencia/Lompoc to help my daughter’s grandma pack for her move to an assisted living next week. I had dinner with my daughter’s mom’s family at Blaze pizza in Lompoc then drove the moving truck back with my daughter’s uncle. When I finally got back to Orange County i stopped in Aliso viejo and say hi my daughter real quick. As a result, I didn’t get home until almost nine. I just finished dinner of Amy’s frozen Mac and cheese and now am watching family feud.
