December 27,2025,Saturday night,11:30pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went to the LA Guns concert at the Coach house in San Juan Capistrano. It ended up being just me, my daughter and her friend. We still had a good time. I had a splitting headaches all day that finally subsided just before the concert started. Thst made the night fun. Now I am going to rest as much as possible and sleep in late.

Mom caught the cold I have been battling all week. when I got home from work she sounded stuffy and miserable. I gave her some DayQuil I bought this morning but the pills got caught in her throat. She coughed one of them up along with a fair amount of water. I feel bad I got her sick. She was confused and thought we were leaving for Wyoming tomorrow. I explained we aren’t departing for another week and she can just rest tomorrow. She was grateful. Hopefully the cold won’t last much longer for either of us.

December 25,2025,Christmas Day, Thursday, 5:16pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana point, California,USA. This afternoon we went to aliso Viejo for Christmas dinner. After eating we all sat in the living room and watched the end of a Christmas movie. It was a beautiful moment. My daughter, the dog, mom and my daughter’s mom all spending time together, enjoying each other’s company. this Christmas wasn’t overly flashy but it was enjoyable. Time to relax and read before turning in for the night.

December 24,2025,Christmas Eve,Wednesday night,8:26pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point,,USA. I went to work early this morning to process payroll and prep the IDT meeting. After the rush faded the day slowly dragged. I left at 4:30pm to pick mom up and head to Aliso Viejo for dinner with the family. On the way back we had an honest conversation about her needs and moving to California. It is time to make plans for the inevitable decline. 2026 will be an interesting year.

December 23,2025,Tuesday night,6:11pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I stayed home from work today. The only time I left was to deposit a check and mail Christmas cards. We also picked up dinner at The habit. I am feeling a little better, good enough to go to work tomorrow, but still feeling run down. I needed a break. Though it is frustrating to be out of commission it felt nice to take it easy today.

Today I have felt run down. I came straight home after work and am going to go to bed. My plan is to sleep for at least 12 hours Ana see how I feel tomorrow.

December 21,2025,Sunday night, 5:58pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California,USA. The day went fast. I did the blue lantern walk followed by the pacific island walk. Then I got some fruit at Albertsons and coffee from Starbucks. I went to CVS for stocking stuffers. After picking mom up we went to Costco, Barnes and Noble, Dollar tree, and Petsmart. I think I have my holiday shopping completed. This afternoon we drove my daughter and her friend to Anaheim to go to a themed cafe but it was so busy they couldn’t get in. We ended up dropping them off at the Irvine spectrum for a while. Now we are all home and looking to turn in early. This will be short but busy at work.

December 20,2025,Saturday evening,5:52pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Woke up at 5am, did the blue lantern walk and went to planet fitness. After that we drove to Pasadena for a holiday brunch with family at the Anthenaeum. Even though we have gone there three times in the last four months it still feels like a treat. It is one thing we do that feels high class. Dressing up, driving north and going to a private club. I like it.

December 19,2025, Friday night,10:40pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Our work holiday party was tonight. One of my coworkers parents has a nice property for hosting events. A small group of us got together, talked, laughed, drank and ate. Afterwards we played games and gave out gift cards a vendor provided. All in all it was very fun. I stayed longer than anticipated but was happy to do so. I enjoy spending time with people outside work hours.

It wasn’t anything gratuitous. We didn’t do anything extraordinary. It was just pure, sweet and made me happy all day thinking about it. So much time has passed since I have talked to her. Even longer since I’ve seen her. To have a beautiful moment with her, even in my mind, was nice.
