New assignment

4:35pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Saturday afternoon, October 15, 2022. Went for a short walk this morning, got coffee and worked out. Then I ran a few errands and watched football. Yesterday I found out I will finish in Dublin soon and go to work in Palm Desert. That makes life a lot easier to balance.I look forward to making the change and starting a new assignment.

So much will be different

3:16pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Sunday afternoon, October 9, 2022. Left Chandler at 5am this morning and got to Dana Point just before 11:30am. The drive was alright but I have been sad realizing next month I will not come to Dana Point any more. That is going to be hard. So much will be different in the next couple of weeks.

Recuperating

3:50pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2022. We got back to the apartment at 2:30am yesterday and were asleep by 3am. The dog and I got up at 7am to move the car and grab some coffee. I managed to take a nap this afternoon, but still feel tired. I am going to spend the rest of the day recuperating and reading while my daughter plays video games in her room.

Quick nap

4:04pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Friday afternoon, September, 23, 2022. Going to the amusement park for an early Halloween celebration this evening. We won’t be home until late. I flew in from the Bay Area this afternoon after working at the hotel this morning. I am going to take a quick nap before we head out at 5:30pm.

Out and about

5:59pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Saturday evening, September 17, 2022. Spent most of the afternoon driving around and going for walks with the dog. Now I am back in the apartment, enjoying a beer and catching up on college football scores. Nice to spend a day out and about, rather than cooped up inside like usual.

Dana Point Friday

5:59pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Friday evening, September 16, 2022. Took my daughter to school this morning, then picked her mom up from the auto mechanic down the street. After that I worked all day before going back to pick my daughter up from school and drop her mom off to pick up her car. Now it is time for dinner and a movie before taking my daughter to a friend’s house for a sleepover.

Family again

5:20pm, pacific standard time, hotel in San Bernardino, California, USA, Wednesday evening, September 14, 2022. Today was a better day than yesterday; definitely not as stressful. Mostly it was a day of training and meetings. On a personal note I decided to go to Dana Point tomorrow instead of staying another night in San Bernardino. I want to see my family again.

Labor Day afternoon

3:31pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Monday afternoon, September 5, 2022, Labor Day. Spent most of the afternoon cleaning the kitchen, loading the dishwasher, doing laundry and prepping for the week. Not only am I packing for Dublin, California this week but Chandler, Arizona next weekend. Everything is in order for both trips. Time to relax and enjoy the the holiday afternoon.

Going to buy a book

4:37pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Sunday afternoon, September 4, 2022. Today was the hottest morning I can recall in Dana Point; 81 degrees before the sun came up. Luckily, the heat peaked early but, it is still warm outside. I went for a walk and worked out this morning but haven’t done much else. I am going to go out and buy a book.

Saturday night

6:11pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Saturday night, September 3, 2022. Took the dog for a full walk this morning, got coffee, worked out, did laundry and grocery shopping. Now waiting for pizza to arrive, sipping a beer and watching football.
