Big change nonetheless

4:45pm, pacific standard time, mall in Mission viejo, California, USA, Saturday afternoon, November 19, 2022. Stayed with my daughter and her mom last night in the Aliso Viejo apartment. It felt strange staying in a new city out here. The area is familiar yet, experiencing Orange County from a new perspective feels foreign. After eleven years in Dana Point certain perceptions and expectations had been cultivated. Now they are altered. Of course it is not as shocking as decamping to Arizona two years ago, but big change nonetheless.

Nice to keep busy

5:40pm, pacific standard time, mall in Mission Viejo, California, USA, Sunday evening, August 14, 2022. Took my daughter and her friend out to run errands and shop for birthday presents. We have been out of the house since one pm today. It is nice to keep busy; helps ward off Sunday afternoon anxiety. We will leave shortly, take the friend home, then head back to the apartment to get ready for the week.

Just a Sunday

6:41pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Chandler, Arizona, USA, Sunday evening, July 10, 2022. Nothing special today. Went for a walk in the morning, watched a movie before lunch then took a nap. In the afternoon I drove around a little, bought a new hat at the mall, then picked up some groceries. After that I came home and had dinner. Going to read a little bit then turn in for the night.

3:43pm, pacific standard time, mall in Mission Viejo, California, USA, Sunday afternoon, July 3, 2022. My daughter and her friend are walking around the mall. I am sitting, resting and people watching. Went for a short walk this morning, did the dishes and laundry, then went to a movie. After we finish here we will grab dinner and head home. Not a bad day.
