Went to dinner tonight at a restaurant called “Eurecka!” My aunts and uncles from Utah/Wyoming were in the area visiting and invited us out. We chose a restaurant close to Aliso Viejo for time saving purposes because I was coming from Costa Mesa. The dinner was good. Always nice to catch up and see family.

December 4,2025,Thursday night6:59pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California,USA. This morning I I crawled back in bed after completing the PCh/Blue Lantern walk and doing a back workout at home. After an hour of resting I still had another hour to kill. I decided to stay in bed. That extra hour left me well rested and somewhat bored. Getting up early can be challenging but not being rushed on weekday mornings has been very valuable stress reduction wise.

December 3,2025,Wednesday night,6pm,pacific standard time,parking lot,school of rock, San Juan Capistrano,California,USA. I have been dragging all day. Last night left me feeling sick from exhaustion. I had to take DayQuil and ibuprofen to get through the morning. Now I just feel tired. My daughter wants to get in &out hamburgers after her lesson. I might need to take a quick snooze to finish the night strong.

December 1,2025,Monday night, 6:28pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I picked my daughter and the dog up at 6:30am this morning and brought them back to Dana Point. Hopefully it is the last day contractors are in their apartment unit fixing the water damage from a leak above them. My daughter spent the day here while I went to work in costs Mesa. Her mom picked her up before I got home but I have to say, it was nice to see the accoutrements of a teenager hanging out (fast food wrappers, blankets and pillows strewn about,etc) when I came home rather than the staid existence I usually keep. Sunrise and sunset were beautiful today.

November 30,2025,Sunday night,6:12pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. This morning I went for the blue lantern walk followed by the pacific island walk. I had pent up energy from being in the car all day yesterday so I used it to clean and rearrange my living room. I also did a couple loads of laundry and took the dog for a walk. The night ended on a bummer though. Looks like my daughter left her purse somewhere in Arizona. I noticed the hotel tried to call me yesterday but didn’t leave a message. I called them back today. The front desk said they didn’t see her purse in the lost and found but to check back in the morning with house keeping. Hopefully we can locate it and get it back.

November 29,2025, Saturday night, 7:29pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Woke up at 5am this morning and did the stonefield/Vive walk. After that I worked out at the planet fitness off Arizona Avenue in Chandler. Then I visited the old office in south Phoenix and stopped by Safeway in Ahwatukee to get turkey jerky and fruit. We got out of Phoenix at 10am pacific. Unfortunately we hit epic traffic in Riverside county. A usually 6 hour trip took over eight hours. None the less, it was a fun trip. I am glad we did it.

November 28,2025,Friday night,11:15pm,mountain standard time,Hilton Hotel, Chandler,Arizona, USA,room 204. My daughter and I drove all day and got to Chandler at 5:15pm. We went straight to the mall. After walking around a bit we grabbed coffee at Wildflower and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. At 8:30pm we headed to the theater to watch Zootopia again. Now we are at the hotel. We got separate rooms this trip. I think it is more relaxing for both of us not having to share a space. She likes to stay up and sleep late in the morning. I want to get up early and drive around. Now we can both do what we like on our own time. I think that makes the trip much more enjoyable.

November 27,2025,Thursday night,Thanksgiving, 5:51pm,pacific standard time,apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Worked out at EOS this morning, watched some of the packers/lions game then went to Aliso Viejo to watch the new Zootopia movie with my daughter and her mom. Afterwards they wanted to go to dinner and talk so I took the dog for a walk then came home. Tomorrow my daughter and I leave for Arizona. I am looking forward to the trip.

November 26,2025,Wednesday night,10:37pm,pacific standard time, in Dana Point, California, USA. The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is a beautifully under appreciated day. It is the perfect time of approaching the holiday season without yet entering the moment. The day is filled with expectant energy yet low anxiety. Thanksgiving is a major holiday with a four day weekend yet a larger, more important holiday looms just around the corner. This is a beautiful day with all hope for a better tomorrow floating in the air. Right here, right now, a little over an hour away from Thanksgiving day anything is possible and that makes this moment perfect.

November 25,2025,Tuesday night,6:07pm,pacific standard time,apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. I had another variable change moment today. In the past when thinking about my work career I often ranked things from worst to first. I had buckets of good jobs and bad ones and usually wrote off whole years of my life I considered hurtful. However today I chose to look at the positive of each experience. At first it was difficult. The old narratives didn’t want to be challenged. But by looking at what for so long I dismissed as negative in a different light I freed up the ability to appreciate certain aspects of each time. I have chosen to be a positive person. I appreciate when I reframe experiences and find the good in them.
