A perfect time to curl up in my warm bed and catch up on sleep. We interviewed bom candidates today. A couple seem promising. We will do in person interviews next week and make a decision.

Took my daughter to the optometrist this afternoon and paid for a year’s supply of contacts. between the dog and my daughter I am finically tapped out. This morning I tried to take a pic of the pch sign at blue lantern but it didn’t come out very good. Finally I stopped by Starbucks to get a coffee this morning. They were handing out free plastic cups. I asked the girl at the counter for one. She slid one over to me but didn’t seem especially enthusiastic about it. Later I learned you were required to buy a specialty drink to get a free cup. No wonder she seemed put upon. I feel kind of guilty but what can I do now?

November 12,2025,Wednesday evening,6:02pm,pacific standard time,parking lot,school of rock, San Juan Capistrano,California. Today is my mom’s birthday. I ordered flowers and called her this morning. She seemed in good spirits though she didn’t have much planned for the day. Since the holidays are so close I don’t often spend time with her on her birthday. I think she understands but I am sure she would like to celebrate as well. Next week she is going out to lunch with a friend. That will be her time to celebrate.

November 11,2025,Tuesday night,6:46pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Veterans Day. The dog survived the teeth cleaning and extractions. A little worked over and tired but otherwise happy. She had a restless night last night trying to sleep in a new environment. She kept whining and getting up and down off the bed. Finally at 2:30am we went for the full pch/blue lantern walk. When we got home she was filthy from the black top and condensation. I had to give her a quick bath before heading to the veterinarian. work wise the staff meeting went well. The business office manager announced she was leaving. The staff took it hard. We will have to adjust in her absence. It won’t be easy to replace her.

November 10,2025,Monday night,6:51pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point,,USA. The dog and I are having a sleepover tonight. She has her teeth cleaning appointment at 7am. It was easier to have her stay with me than drive all the way to Aliso Viejo and double back to Laguna Niguel. I am a little nervous having her go under anesthesia for the procedure but also glad we are getting it taken care of. The interim vet last week recommended extracting two teeth. Hopefully the vet doing the procedure sees it differently. I feel guilty putting things off so long it results in a negative outcome.

November 9,2025,7:12pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point,,USA. I woke up this morning with a bad headache. I went for a walk/workout but could only finish the walk. By 8:30am I was in bed and unable to rally until 4pm. I still don’t feel 100%. It was a brutally bad day. I am going to sleep some more and start over fresh tomorrow.

November 8,2025,Saturday night,9:15pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point,,USA. Took my daughter and her friend to the anine convention in Pasadena today. This was our third year attending. We are now old pros at the event. That makes it less stressful but also less engaging. After visiting all the vendors the girls went to lunch, ice skated and had boba tea. And they were still ready to leave three hours before the day ended. We spent the evening in Burbank at Round 1 playing video games. After taking her friend home we made it back to Orange County by 8:30pm. All in all it was a good day.

November 7,2025,Friday night,6:03pm,pacific standard time, in Aliso Viejo,,USA. Went to Anaheim Regional hospital for a surprised birthday party for one of the doctors. That was the highlight of the day. Otherwise i went for my walk this morning and worked out. I am extremely tired. I thought when daylight savings ended I would feel more rested, not less. I stopped by the apartment in Aliso to let the dog out. Now I am heading home and going to bed early.

November 6,2025,Thursday morning, 743am,pacific standard time,office in Costa Mesa,,USA. Yesterday I got a call letting me know the business office manager applied for a corporate job and they were going to offer it to her. It is large promotion. I am happy for her. Nothing is official yet but it sounds like a done deal. She doesn’t know I know but I am sure she will tell me when the offer is made. I told the clinical director about the situation but otherwise haven’t said anything. She is a little concerned. The office manager has a big presence at the branch. The staff will have to adjust, just like we will. Things will be different without her around.

November 5,2035,Wednesday morning,4:36am,pacific standard time apartment in Dana Point,,USA. After my walk and workout I turned on Weather Nation. Today is a “super moon.” Meaning the moon is full and it is at its closest point to earth. That also means its gravitational pull is at its strongest right now. King tides, the highest tides of the year, are expected along the west coast today. So if the ocean is feeling massive upheaval from the moon it only makes sense that I (and lots of other people) would feel strong upheaval as well. After all, the human body is made of 50-70% water, right? Maybe it is silly to think that but it makes me feel better so I am going to go with it.
