There is a moment in every job that is performance based that is sink or swim. It usually doesn’t take long. The shortest was commission job. After three days of sending me crappy leads and I didn’t convert they basically cut me off and stopped sending them. In my post chaplain history the travel job was best because it felt like it was coming after two years so I just left rather than deal with it. I wanted one job that wasn’t smeared r tainted.

Usually one or two months in. Then it is a game of how long before you get rose out or jump ship.

I don’t know if I can go deep enough with my emotions for you. Might be I am guarded or I don’t have the talent. I don’t believe I am sharing the fear, the joy, the heartbreak adequately.

I was going through all my jobs and talking about stepping away. Why didn’t I just go be a chaplain again? Ugh. Exhausting to relive

I applied for the job. At least I did something to try and better my life today. Jesus.

A job matching my resume is open in Phoenix. It is with a company I have applied to an interviewed with multiple times. Frankly I am a little peeved they didn’t hire me four years ago for a job I was infinitely qualified for. Guess try again

How far are you willing to move? Will I travel? These are questions I always have to consider

I am good at getting jobs. It really is a numbers game. You can’t get too caught up in perfect fits. Just throw it to the wind. My anecdotal take is I usually get contacted 1 out of every ten applications. Usually it is a first recruiter or an online test questionnaire. If so sixty applications which on this day an age isn’t too hard. That is six leads. If lucky two look promising so I don’t get too enamored with one.

Started writing and then tried to go back to a job but resume was trashed. I had to start over. Leads for one week and then cut off

Then another’s sales job that fizzled out. Another. Then another. Then executive director. Then laid off

My hospice chaplain didn’t end right away. It just became empty. My boss was gone my girlfriend was gone. I became a father.

Traveling took all day. Crazy people but most money and largest paycheck. Put it away so had some built up for storm.
