August 31,2026, Monday morning, 1:45am, pacific standard time, EOS fitness, San Clemente, California, USA. As I was driving to the gym this morning I was overcome with gratitude. All the beautiful things I have experienced, how much I appreciate where I live and raised my daughter. That I don’t waste my time chasing highs that leave me sick and tired. That I have finial security and am surrounded by my family. I have been given great blessings. I realize how lucky I am.

August 30, 2026, Sunday afternoon, 4:57pm,pacific standard time, Ralph’s in Laguna Hills, California,USA. Didn’t blue lantern walk, shoulder arm workout at planet fitness and the dog park walk this morning. After that mom and I went to Ralph’s in Laguna niguel. This afternoon my daughter and her mom took my mom to lunch. I had a rare afternoon home alone. I used the time to wash and iron all my work dress shirts. Now I am running errands at target in San Juan and Ralph’s in Laguna Hills.

August 28/29, Friday/saturday, 1:47pm, pacific standard time, office complex, Laguna Niguel, California, USA. Went to an open house in Anaheim yesterday then delivered supplies in La Habra . Actually more like Whittier. I was out of the office most days this week. It was nice to get away even though it is hot. This evening I am meeting an old friend for dinner. We haven’t seen each other in over a years and half. It will be good to catch up.

August 27, 2026, Thursday morning, 7:07am, pacific standard time, parking garbage, office complex, Costa Mesa, California,USA. I am mindful that the immediate now is all I have. There is no future where stress, frustration and limitations get resolved. Today I will use my 10,000 brick tool, check in every hour and embrace the now.

August 26,2026, Wednesday night, 7:24pm, pacific standard time, apartment, Dana Point, California, USA. Went to EOS this morning and worked in Costa Mesa all day. After work I walked on the treadmill at the office complex then came back to Dana Point. Now watching a little television with mom before going to sleep.

August 25,2026, Tuesday night, 8:09pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California,USA. Went to terrace on the green in mission viejo for a work lunch. I decided not to go back to Costa Mesa and stayed in South County. I ended up taking a nap, working out at planet fitness, getting gas and a car wash at Costco (with mom) then getting in & out with my daughter. it was a good day. Nice to be out of the office.

August 24,2026, Monday night, 9:10pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Work interrupted my evening walk and put me behind schedule. I didn’t get to Aliso until 7:30pm. My daughter was “napping” so I took the dog for a short adventure to get an extra half hour of cardio in. It was fun to be walking at sunset. I don’t experience that time of day very often.

August 23,2026, Sunday night, 8:38pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Worked out at is then walked the dog this morning. After that mom and I drove to the office to get supplies for a patient. I went to the movie Tony today but left halfway through. It was boring and work was getting busy. All night I was grouchy. I need some rest. Today was the 28 year anniversary of the end of my pastoral internship.

August 22,2026, Saturday afternoon, 4:40pm, pacific standard time, Planet Fitness, Lake Forest, California, USA. Woke up and did the blue lantern walk, came home and slept an hour, then went to planet fitness in Laguna Niguel. After that I took the dog for a morning walk before it got hot. Then I picked up mom to get coffee, groceries and gas. this afternoon I went to Home Depot and picked up a new outdoor mat for my patio laundry area. Then I went to Kohls and got a mat for the cat’s food and another one for her litter box. Plus I grabbed a wire brush to try and get some of the excess fur off her. Now I am leisurely walking the treadmill in Lake Forest, killing time before heading home or seeing my daughter if she is around .

August 21,2026, Friday morning, 6:47am, pacific standard time, Dunkin’ Donuts, Laguna Hills, California, USA. I did the Santa Clara walk this morning. On the way to work I decided to change up my morning routine and grab a midnight dark roast coffee from Dunkin’ Donuts. I wanted to do something fun and special on Friday morning. Life always feels better on Friday.
