September 30,2026, Wednesday night, 6:08pm, pacific standard time, gym at office complex in Costa Mesa, California, USA. Woke up and went to EOS this morning then came home and went back to sleep. Work went well. Last day of the month and quarter. Lots of stress about avoiding a payment penalty. We were one short of our goal. I think we will be alright but we will see in a week. Today is the two year anniversary of getting laid off from my previous job. Not a fond memory. my daughter had a rough night and day. We will see how that goes.

September 29,2026, Tuesday morning, 7:54am, pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. Sitting in my office, waiting for stand up at 8:15am. No one else is here. A wave of joy washed over me. I am in the right place at the right time. I am grateful for what I get to do and the success of the program. This is where I am meant to be. however long that may last.

September 28,2026, Monday night, 7:53pm, pacific standard time,apartment complex parking lot,Dana point, California,USA. I slept in and did the Santa Clara walk this morning. Work today went by fast. We are at our record census but since a large number is on the horizon (200)the accomplishment doesn’t feel like much. I appreciate how successful we have been.

September 27,2026, Sunday morning, 10:19am, pacific standard time,apartment in Dana point, California, USA. Yesterday afternoon I took my daughter to dunkin then hung out in Aliso Viejo to watch Quarterback on Netflix. In the evening I went to a friend’s house and watched supergirl. This morning I got up at 3:30am and did two hours on the treadmill followed by an arm/shoulder work out. Since then I have been enjoying cool overcast weather. It is a great day in Dana Point.

September 26,2026, Saturday morning, 6:36am, pacific standard time, parked off blue lantern and Santa Clara, Dana point, California, USA. Went for the blue lantern walk this morning. Now I am killing time until the gym opens at seven. Last night after work my daughter and I walked the dog then grabbed Starbucks. My mom was in Aliso Viejo after having dinner with my daughter and her mom. We headed back to Dana point at 7:30pm. I was worried the roads in Dana point would be crowded and our parking space would be taken because of Ohana festival at Doheny beach. But there wasn’t any traffic and we were able to park in our stall. We will see how the rest of the weekend goes.

September 25,2036, Friday morning, 2:40am, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I stopped in Aliso Viejo to see my daughter and her mom last night. When I arrived they were talking with a couple guests. Apparently one was a coworker of my daughter’s mom. they were heading out to dinner. the other was a young man I thought was his son. However , as I was leaving to take the dog out I learned he was in fact my daughter’s tinder date. They were heading to see a movie. Even though it feels strange thinking about my daughter being on tinder I hope they had a good time. She needs to get out and meet people. today is the six year anniversary of my daughter and her mom moving out and living separately. It is also the six year anniversary of my last day in sales. Both those events were monumental. Though not necessarily positive, they did give me the space to find my later adult self, reduce anxiety and be successful in a profession (operations) I am much better suited for.

September 24,2026, Thursday afternoon, 2:40pm, pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. Typical work day. Handling admissions, trying to finish strong before the fiscal year end next week. VP of clinical left this morning. In the office answering emails. Enjoying the time but wouldn’t mind heading out early.

September 23,2026, Wednesday morning, 1:42am, pacific standard time, EOS fitness, San Clemente, California, USA. Yesterday after work I decided to take the toll road to get home early and walk the dog. I texted my daughter to say I would be there soon. But as I pulled up two admissions needed paperwork completed. I ended up spending over an hour in the car coordinating documents and signatures. We will see if they all the forms are correct. Afterwards, my daughter and I took the dog for the park walk and drove to Starbucks to get her a tea and the dog a pup cup. Even though I got home later it ended up being a good day.

September 22,2026, Tuesday morning, 1:38am, pacific standard time, eos gym, Sam Clemente , California, USA. Spring equinox at 5pm tonight. I Was able to get up early and make it to the gym. If I get up between 1am and 1:30am I go to the gym. If I get up after two am I do the Santa Clara walk. My daughter lost her iPod headphones. She was borrowing her mom’s at night and it was causing drama. I gave (lent her?) mine. Ironically, my AirPods are a pair she bought in Texas a couple years ago when she thought she lost hers last time. It is a different experience to be on the treadmill without music to listen to or videos to watch. But i do appreciate being aware instead of tuned out. I choose to embrace adventure and choose to be happy.

September 21/21,2025, Sunday/monday, 4:03am, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Woke up Sunday and did the blue Lantern walk followed by an hour on the treadmill at planet fitness. In the afternoon I had to deliver supplies for work so my daughter and I drove to Costa Mesa then brea. After that I went to a friend’s house to watch the Colts/chiefs Sunday night game. today the new director from the Riverside branch is coming to Costa Mesa to job shadow with nmr. In addition, the regional VP of clinical operations is in town all week. It will be a busy time.
