May 31,2026,Sunday morning, 4:42am, pacific standard time,EōS fitness, San Clemente,California, USA. This is my Administrator on call weekend. It has been busy. Which isn’t a surprise. This past week we were at record census with multiple skilled nurses out. Everyone is feeling stressed right now. Yesterday afternoon after taking the dog for a walk and grabbing dinner for my daughter I planned to head home and eat with my mom. When I was almost home work sidetracked me with a task that took over an hour to figure out. Regardless I am thankful for the opportunity and success I have found at this job.

May 30,2026, Saturday morning,pacific standard time,Starbucks, Laguna Niguel, California,USA. they moved equipment around at my gym again. This is the second time they closed for multiple days to remodel. The first time I liked the change, this one, not so much. I am sure I will get used to before long it but it seems pointless. I have no plans for today. Right now I am hanging at Starbucks doing some online shopping. I ordered a jacket, shirt and sleeping pad off amazon. I need a little extra cushion for the futon until the mom living situation is figured out.

May 29,,2026, Friday morning,4:52am, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I am working to get back in the groove of posting. I think mom moving in caused enough upheaval that something routine had to slip. In this case doing a daily post slipped my mind. I did keep up with food journals and 10,000 brick entries so I wasn’t slacking entirely. I am ready for the weekend. This week was hard getting up for the walk. I need to catch up on rest.

May 26,27,28, 2026 Tuesday to Thursday morning, 7:15am, pacific standard time,parking garage c office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. This week has flown by. I am still adjusting to having mom and the cat in the house. I am usually out the door by 6:30am and home at 8:30pm so I don’t see her much. We will look at the living situation and come up with a plan. I like having her here but it is very temporary at the moment.

May 25,2026,Monday morning, Memorial Day, apartment in Dana Point, USA. I did the blue lantern walk, got coffee then drove to the Planet Fitness in foothill ranch this morning. I had a good workout. Usually I don’t have time or energy during the week for three straight days of solid gym workouts . I feel better when I can take my time, stretch and focus on resistance training.

May 24,2026,Sunday morning, 7:22am, pacific standard time,parking lot, Planet Fitness, Lake Forest, California, USA. I did the blue lantern route this morning then came to Planet fitness for a workout. last night mom and I got a couple slices of pepperoni pizza from Flippin Pizza and a quart of caramel chocolate pretzel ice cream. It is important to have something that sets aside Saturday night as special. If pizza and ice cream do it I am all for it. I did wake up with a little indigestion. Nothing is perfect.

May 23,2026, Saturday afternoon, 4:33pm, pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot, Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Did the PCH/santa Clara walk this morning then hung out at Starbucks until the gym opened. After working out I went home, got ready then took mom to wash her car and buy groceries. After a quick nap I got a haircut and an oil change for the TSX. This afternoon I drove all the way out to Foothill Ranch to workout before I realized I forgot my gear. I decided to walk the dog in Aliso instead. It is not lost on me this is the first weekend my daughter is independent at her convention in Atlanta while it is also the first weekend mom is not independent in her house any more. Big milestones all around.

May 22,2026, Friday night, 8:49, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Today was the Friday before Memorial Day. Busy at work getting patient’s tucked in for the long weekend. Now there is a major toxic chemical leak that is threatening parts of Orange County. My daughter is still in Atlanta and bought an expensive replica gun. I talked with my mom’s friend about what we need to do to clean out her condo. I also took the dog for a walk this evening. Busy day.

May 21,2026, Thursday morning, 8:05am, pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. I was so tired from taking my daughter to the airport yesterday that I slept in this morning. I had designs to skip my morning walk because I didn’t get up until 5am but I went anyway. It was very enjoyable. I got to see the sunrise, I listened to the new episode of the Pablo Torre Finds Out podcast and enjoyed stealing a walk when I resigned myself to being lazy.

May 20, 2026, Wednesday evening, 6:10pm, pacific standard time, gym at the office complex in Costa Mesa, California,USA. Got up at 3am to take my daughter to the airport so she could fly to Atlanta and attend an anime conference. Her mom was going to take her but she asked me to do it instead. That made me happy. As a result I got to work 2 hours early so I napped and read in my car before going into the office. Now I am finishing up an afternoon workout and getting ready to head home.
