June 23,2025,Monday night, 7:33pm,pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Drove to a meeting at Madero 1899 in Fullerton this afternoon. Turns out the place is a block away from the house of someone I used to know. Actually, she lives a couple hours north of her. The house in Fullerton is a family property they were getting ready to rent. She would come down to Orange County to visit. I am not sure what happened to her. They probably rented the building and she no longer comes down. Be that as it may, seeing the house brought back memories. I haven’t talked to her in over a year and see no need to rekindle that flame. Today was simply a moment of nostalgia that quickly subsided.

June 22,2025, Sunday afternoon,4:31pm,pacific standard time,Starbucks off Alicia Parkway and Niguel Raid, Laguna Niguel,California,USA. I am trying a splash of 2% milk in my afternoon coffee. Usually I drink my coffee black and prefer it that way in the morning. But in the afternoon drinking hot black coffee seems too acidic. I tried other drinks in the afternoon, the nitro brewed cold coffee and green iced tea but neither were game changers. Not sure coffee and milk is a winner either but I am trying. The milk definitely cuts the acidity.

June 21,2025,Saturday night,7:29pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Aliso Viejo, California,USA. Took my daughter to Pasadena this morning to get cosplay clothes and wigs. Her mom has been shopping for a car all day and finally found one at Carmax. She is finishing up the purchase then we are going to go for a drive.

June 20,2025,Friday night,8:09pm,pacific standard time,summer solstice, apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. I woke up early this morning but decided to stay home for a couple hours before starting my day. I wanted to workout at the gum then walk the dog before taking my daughter to school. The plan was perfect until I realized I left my dress shirt and work pants back in Dana Point. Luckily, I had enough time to run back home and change before work. This evening my daughter and I drove around and listened to music. Now I am going to get ready for bed. Her mom wants to go car shopping tomorrow and my daughter wants to drive to Pasadena to pick up cosplay stuff from her friend.

June 19,2025,Thursday night,7:25pm,pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot in Dana Point, California, USA. This week has been monotonous. Each day a carbon copy of the last. I am cranky and ready for bed. I picked my daughter up to grab dinner. She wanted to drive around more but I am too tired. My brain is in a fog and I can’t concentrate. I need to get some sleep and start over tomorrow.

June 18,2025,Wednesday night,7:33pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Left work early today to go to a mixer at a senior living community in Laguna Niguel. My daughters music lesson got canceled so I grabbed her and her mom dinner then came straight home. I have stayed up later than usual the past two nights while still getting up early. The lack of sleep caught up to me. I had to take quick naps in my car the past two afternoons. Right now I am looking at cars on CarMax. I am going to give the Acura to my daughter so I need ti find a replacement. In reality my daughter’s mom will drive it more. Either way, we need another car. The mechanic said her car needs major repairs that aren’t worth the investment.

June 17,2025,Tuesday night,7:29pm,pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Basically a repeat of yesterday. I got up a little earlier and did the blue lantern walk followed by an at home chest/tricep workout. Worked in Costa Mesa, then took my daughter to chic-fila for dinner before going up to the office complex for driving practice. She is getting a feel for turning and braking but overall she is doing well. I enjoy spending the time with her.

June 16,2025,Monday night,8:27pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Picked my daughter up after work and got her dinner at In and Out. She didn’t want to go home right away so we went to an office complex parking lot to practice driving. She is eager to get her permit and be on the road. I am happy for her, she has grown up a lot the past two weeks. She finished her junior year of high school, she applied for a job and she is going to stay at summer school . Originally the plan was one week to make up missed hours. However, she got involved in projects she wants to see through so she is staying until mid July. Which coincides perfectly with our planned Wyoming trip starting the 12th.

June 15,2025,Sunday evening,6:47pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA, Father’s Day. Yesterday was supposed to be my Father’s Day celebration but we extended the festivities. This morning my daughter, her mom and I met a friend for coffee at Philz in Aliso Viejo. Then we headed to the Kaleidoscope in Mission Viejo to do ceramics at Color Me Mine. Afterwards, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings for a late lunch. While we were there I received a call for a patient needing supplies so my daughter and I took her mom home and headed to Costa Mesa. We got back to Aliso Viejo at 6pm. I dropped my daughter off and hurried home to start laundry. Now I am watching Diners, Drive ins and Dives and waiting to put clothes in the dryer.

June 24,2025,Saturday night,9:30pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went to Riptide Tepan Grill tonight with my daughter and her mom. We went to celebrate Father’s Day early. unfortunately two of the chefs called out sick. So though we were literally the first people to be seated when the restaurant opened we had to sit for an hour waiting for our food while the table next to us ate. Surprisingly none of us lost our cool and we accepted the situation. Afterwards we drove to Foothill Ranch for ice cream at baskin robins. On the way home we stopped in Laguna Niguel to wish my daughters friend farewell before she left to visit her boyfriend and his family in Florida. All in all it was a good way to spend Father’s Day eve.
