July 17,2025,Thursday night,8:45pm,mountain standard time,condo in Evanston Wyoming,USA. I drove down to South Ogden this morning to work out at Planet Fitness. after working out I drove to Layton and saw the old apartment at Quail Cove. then this afternoon all three of us went to a bountiful to take care of some business at the credit union. It was a fun trip. We stopped at Starbucks in Centerville and then afterwards drove to Fashion place mall to eat at PF Chang’s and shop at pac-sun. On the way out of town we went to Barnes &Noble and picked up a couple books. Now we are home, having a scoop of ice cream before going to bed. Tomorrow is our last full day before heading back to Orange County Saturday. Side note/ it looks like the Planet Fitness in Bountiful closed. That bummed me out a little. Hopefully they just moved to a new locations. I liked that gym. I worked out there a couple times, including October when I was here last.

July 16,2025, Wednesday night,8:17pm,mountain standard time,condo in Evanston,Wyoming,USA. I woke up a quarter after 5am and headed to South Ogden to workout at the Planet Fitness. Around 1pm we drive to get McDonald’s fir my daughter and pick somethings up at Walmart. This afternoon my daughter and I drove to Park City to see the new Superman movie. Afterwards we ate dinner at Red Rock Brewery then came home. Now we are winding down for the evening.

July 15,2025,Tuesday night,7:29pm,mountain standard time,condo in Evanston,Wyoming,USA. I Did the south ridge/broken circle walk this morning. The first time in four tries that wasn’t cold. That was a change. Usually I am freezing by the time it is over. I would like to drive to south Ogden one time to workout at Planet Fitness but if not I can handle the alternative if the weather holds. After my walk I grabbed coffee at the loaf and jug then did a chest/tricep workout in the clubhouse. Later, mom and I went to the credit union and the bank to square away finances. While downtown we stopped by the local coffee shop and talked with some people we knew. The rest of the day was filled with more financial concerns, including a trip to Park City, Utah to close out an old savings account. We grabbed my daughter Panda Express for lunch/dinner while down there. Afterwards mom and I got KFC for dinner back in Evanston.

July 14,2025,Monday night, 7:01pm,mountain standard time,condo in Evanston,Wyoming ,USA. Went for a walk this morning then worked out at the Rec Center. This afternoon my mom, daughter and I drove to Salt Lake City. We went to Costco and got builder bars, beef jerky, peanut m&m’s, gummy mini hamburgers and tootsie pops. After that we stopped at Beans and Brews to get my daughter a black iced tea and mom a chai tea. I didn’t get anything because I already had two big servings of coffee in the morning. From there we drove to Fashion Place mall. We each got a new body wash and some hand sanitizers. From bath and body works. Then we went to J Crew for me to pick up two t-shirts. After j crew we stopped in Sephora where my daughter got some glitter body “lava” and press on nails. Then we went to smiths marketplace and got fruit, guacamole, pickles and olives. Our last stop was picking up a pizza from the Pie off 3300 South before heading back home. After dinner I went to the smiths in Evanston to get hummus, cheese and acetaminophen for my daughter. It didn’t seems like we did a lot but now writing it all down I see we were pretty busy!

July 13,2025,Sunday night,8:19pm,mountain standard time,condo in Evanston, Wyoming,USA. My daughter and I left Aliso Viejo at 5:45am. We got to Evanston almost exactly 12 hours later. we stopped in Fontana (Starbucks), baker (shell gas station by alien fresh jerky, which was closed at the time), north las vegas(terribles),Mesquite (del taco), cedar city (chevron) Fillmore (terribles) and Starbucks in Spanish Fork. Mom was happy to see us when we got here. We watched a little tv and talked while my daughter went to her room to watch a movie on her laptop. A little later mom and I drove to Wendy’s to grab burgers and a salad. We talked about her moving to California. It is getting to be time where it is best if we are closer. She can have the Dana point condo and I will stay with my daughter and her mom or figure something else out. Time for a change for all of us.

July 12,2025,Saturday night,5:35pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went for a walk at. 5:30am. Then went to Planet Fitness and did a chest/tricep workout. Lately I haven’t gone to the gym other then back/lat days because it takes up my mornings. Today the timing worked perfectly. After working out I came home, did some vacuuming and got caught up on laundry. Then my daughter and I drove out to Foothill Ranch to get some Baskin Robbins. She got cotton candy, I got lemon sorbet. After that we tried her new espresso machine. We did a shot of dark espresso and a light coffee. Both were pretty good. Now I am home and packing for our trip to Wyoming. The Plan is to leave town at 5am.

July 11,2025,Friday night,8:32pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. The highlight of my day was waking up before 2:30am, finishing my walk and driving home before 4am. That gave me over three hours to workout, read, do puzzles and get ready for work. I was a little tired but nothing unmanageable. It was a slow day at work. Which makes me nervous. Everyone gets anxious when admissions are low. My daughter texted me at a quarter to five pm asking if we could leave Sunday instead of tomorrow. I told her that is fine. We probably didn’t need six days in Wyoming. Though we won’t be able to go to a Salt Lake Bees game this trip. Oh well, we will still have a good time. Truth be told I could use a day to decompress and pack.

July 10,2025,Thursday night,8:27pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. The clinical director did ride-a-long visits and competency checks with two home health aides today. When she got back I asked her how they went. According to her things went well. One of the aides mentioned she doesn’t want me or the clinical director to leave. She is happy and thankful for the leadership we provide. Hearing that made my day. The home health aides are more independent than the other disciplines. We don’t interact with them as much. That they appreciate our leadership validates us as directors. I am thankful she took the time to share the sentiment and that the director passed it on.

July 9,2025,Wednesday evening,6:15pm,pacific standard time,parking lot,school of rock,san Juan Capistrano,California, USA. Went to a meeting in Irvine today at a business started by my first boss in Orange County. He hired me to be the Senior director of sales back in 2012 when we both worked for a locally headquartered hospice company. That position ended up not working out but it did get me to California, where I have remained (more of less) for 13 years. I am thankful for the opportunity he gave me. I got to raise my daughter in a Orange County. That is, and was, the most important thing to me. It was good to see him again and catch up.

July 8,2025,Tuesday night,7:27pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. went to a mixer at Bayshire Yorba Linda today. It was good to get out of the office and be social. Otherwise it was another day of office routine. I didn’t go to the gym this morning. Usually I only go if it is the weekend or a back day and I need the pull up bars and seated rowing bench. Going to the gym takes too much time. I would rather work out at home and have an extra hour of leisure than go to the gym and feel rushed. I might join a gym in San Clemente that is open 24 hours. That is one solution.
