I am walking on the treadmill after work and happened upon my blog entry from four years ago. Tonight I am remembering the last time family visited Arizona in 2022 and how much I was looking forward to my new job. Otherwise today has been fine. Busy work day. Of course now they are all like that. A by product of success.
August 02,2026, Sunday afternoon, 2:26pm, pacific standard time, regal cinema, theater 7, Aliso Viejo, California, USA. Woke up at 5:30am this morning and walked to Los Rios. Then I took the dog for a walk in Aliso before heading back to Dana point. I threw in a load of laundry then took mom to Albertsons to buy fruit, water and Smirnoff. After lunch and a nap I decided to come to the movies and buy a ticket for whatever was showing at the time. That ended up being a show called “I want your sex” at 2:45pm. The theater is empty. I was only the third person to buy a ticket for it. And I am so early the pre-show ads have yet to start. I don’t know anything about this movie. Should be interesting.
August 1,2025,Saturday afternoon,2:52pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Walked blue lantern this morning, worked out at planet fitness, drank coffee at Starbucks. Cleaned the kitty litter (which was a mess), went to Costco to get paper towels, wine and litter. Got Starbucks for mom. Drove around a bit. Came home. Did laundry, napped, showered, walked to the harbor. First time in fourteen years I used the pedestrian bridge.

When I am in my office I have the television on YouTube showing inspirational scenes with music that is supposed to promote focus. My favorite ones are AI generated images of the Salt Lake Valley. I am in a good place today. I appreciate my past, embrace my now, and see a path to a great future.
July 29-30,2026,Thursday morning, 8:27am, pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. I am appreciative of the space I have created with my job. This branch was in disarray with a lot of turnover a year Ana a half ago. Now it is a place where employees refer friends to come and work. I know I am merely the caretaker for a brief period of time. I will enjoy the moment for what it is. No matter how long it lasts.

My daughter went to dinner tonight so I came home straight from working out at the office complex. I am excited to catch up on some rest. This afternoon we had a good meeting in Huntington Beach. It opens up an opportunity with a new referral partner. Which is good because this morning was busy with rude complaints and frustration. Everything eventually evens out.
July 27;2026, Monday night, 7:41pm, pacific standard time, parking lot, apartment complex, Dana point, California,USA. My daughter and I still have discussed what happened at Disneyland. I am upset on a number of levels. One she didn’t ask permission for a large purchase. And two it wasn’t something she should have offered to do or been expected to pay for. We will discuss soon. I have been annoyed all day because it is grating on my nerves.
July 26, 2026, Sunday afternoon, 3:27pm, pacific standard time, planet fitness, Laguna Niguel,California, USA. Walking on the treadmill at planet fitness. Relaxing on a Sunday afternoon. Yesterday was busy with on call activity. Today has been much more manageable. The weekend has gone super quick. My daughter has been at Disney the last two days and over spent yesterday. That put me in a sour mood. I am going to lay love and catch up with her tomorrow. On a personal note o am staring to embrace the balding hair loss journey. I think a bare forehead has given me a more mature look.
July 24-25, 2026, Saturday afternoon, 12:58pm, pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. I have eaten a ton of fruit today. The business office manager at my office gave me a lot of Asian fruit to try,. Mom bought fruit twice, I bought fruit last week. I don’t think we can finish it all. But it sure tastes good. I drove up and did the Blue Lantern walk today then came back and have been home since. Such a rarity. I am usually never home this long. I have made progress going through boxes from mom’s move. And I am getting caught up on laundry. Not a wild day but it has been productive.
July 22-23, 2026, Thursday, 10:03am, pacific standard time, office in Costa Mesa, California, USA. Yesterday was busy with work and taking my daughter to music. Afterwards I looked forward to going home but she asked me if she could drive to pick up her former boyfriend then drive to the spectrum. The whole trip took an hour by the time I got back to dana point. So much for going to bed early. I finished 6000 entries in the ten thousand bricks. My mind is getting stronger. I am more aware to stay positive and present.
