April 5,2025,Saturday evening,5:48pm,pacific standard time,apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Went and saw the Minecraft movie with my daughter today. It was dumb fun. I give it 3 out of 5 stars. I don’t think I would recommend it for anyone above the age of 13 though. Otherwise I slept in, walked on the treadmill at the gym, did a chest workout, and got a couple meals for my daughter. There was a big “hands off” rally in Aliso Viejo today. Good to see opposition to political actions these days.

April 4,2025,Friday night,7:30pm,pacific standard time,apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Today I accompanied a nurse and chaplain on a patient visit. I was there to get a quote for a house cleaning. It didn’t go well. The girl that came to give an estimate literally ran out the door fifteen seconds after entering. She declined to quote a price but came back to take pictures nonetheless. Most likely to share horror stories with coworkers. You know a house is filthy when even a professional cleaning person is taken aback. The patient is coming off service soon but we will still pay to have it cleaned. No one should have to live like that.

April 3,2025,Thursday evening,7:19pm,pacific standard time, apartment complex parking lot,Dana Point, California, USA. Every day my energy shifts more positive. I am becoming focused and present. There are only a few more things to write before my first batch of affirmations is complete. Once those are in place I can begin to compile and edit. This is happening and I couldn’t be more excited. I have waited a long time to find a project like this. Goes to show persistence pays off. On a work note, business is picking up. Thank god. My goal is to get it better than I found it then get the hell out. I don’t need this energy any more. That is the old me who didn’t realize his worth or value his time.

April 2,2025,Wednesday evening,7:45pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went to lunch in Aliso Viejo at a restaurant called Fennel. Just up the street from my daughter. I have driven by hundreds of times. Now I know the food is pretty good. We met with a new doctor. Chances are we will hire him as an associate medical director. That will help because our medical director is pretty overwhelmed. After that there was a CAP call. Which means an uncomfortable hour of pointed questions about why census is low and what we are going to do about it. I made the mistake of trying to help an unprepared colleague and ended up looking unprepared myself. I guess it is true what they say. No good deed…etc,etc

April 1,2025,Tuesday evening,7:24pm,pacific standard time, apartment parking lot, Dana Point, California, USA. Today is the 25th anniversary of my marriage to my daughter’s mom. We are still married, though we haven’t been together in a long time. We acknowledged the day briefly in a text. After work I picked up my daughter’s prescriptions (she has a little cold) and bought her tacos from Del Taco. I got her mom a burrito. Not quite the 25th anniversary celebration or present we anticipated back in 2000. But then life never turns out exactly how you planned, does it?

March 30-31,Sunday, Monday evening, 7:27pm, pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. The dog woke me up right at 3am Sunday morning. Since it was early we decided to “walk to our walk.” Meaning, we walked up to where I usually park. I miscalculated the distance. The walk up was a lot further than I anticipated. All told it ended up being a 7 mile, 2+hour walk. At the end was more tired than the dog. She still had a bounce in her step, while I was dragging. Afterwards, we lounged around a little in Dana Point then went up to Aliso until my daughter got home from dropping off her friend in Pasadena. Today, work went fine. Feels like we are turning a corner business wise. I have been having Palm Desert flashbacks today. It would be nice if this gig lasted the same amount of time and produced the same outcome as Palm Desert. I am not a long term kind of guy. I like to assess a problem, implement a solution then go on to the next project. We will see if that is how this plays out.

March 29,2025,4:26pm,pacific standard time,Strands Beach, Parking lot, Dana Point, California, USA. Had a good day with the dog, we went for a nice walk then got coffee and a pup cup. I did some grocery shopping then took the dog with me to pick up the girls at the Irvine spectrum. They wanted to walk on the beach. Now the dog and I are hanging out, waiting for them to finish. Afterwards we will take the girls to Aliso Viejo then head back home to Dana Point for the evening.

March 28,2025,6:38pm,pacific standard time,apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. My daughter has a friend from Pasadena coming to visit for the weekend. I offered to bring the dog home with me so they didn’t feel rushed to get back (they went to pick her up). We are settling in, watching a little basketball and enjoying a quiet evening.

March 27,2025,Thursday evening,5:12pm,pacific standard time,office in Costa Mesa, California,USA. Sitting in my office, waiting for traffic to die down. My daughter has music at 7:30pm. I will wait here rather than driving home or sitting on the freeway. The second round of the basketball tournament started tonight so that give me something to do.

March 26,2025,Wednesday night,7:50pm,pacific standard time, apartment in Dana Point, California, USA. Went do Orange Hill restaurant to celebrate an early Doctors Day with our hospice physicians. It was an enjoyable evening. Great views of Orange County though i unfortunately sat on the side facing away. We still got a great pic of the whole crew.
